Genesis Tower v0.6 - First Public Release


When I first started Genesis Tower, I didn't really have much of an end goal at first. It was, after all, a school assignment. The task was simple, make a procedural level generator. We were given assets, some basic top-down shooter code, and that was it. I decided to take it one step further, and many steps past the original requirements later, I submitted Genesis Tower v0.5, hastily bug-fixed after a few nights of testing. Got a good grade for the project.

By then, I already had art, a soundtrack, and a single sound effect provided by the motor of my electric razor. I figured it would be fun to go and resume work on it down the line, mainly to polish it up. So for v0.6, I fixed more bugs, added more sounds from the interwebs, credited my professor for letting me go off on a wild programming/art tangent, and switched platforms to publish online. And now it's here!
